Global Blood Health Survey
- “It’s normal for your age.”
- “It runs in the family.”
- “It’s just something to put up with.”
Millions of people have been told one of these. Almost none of it has been recorded.
This survey collects that experience from every part of the world, using the same questions everywhere, so it can be compared, published, and used as evidence.

Why this exists
Blood health has been under researched for decades. Iron deficiency, anemia, heavy periods, low iron after donating blood, and the exhaustion that follows are common, yet the evidence guiding diagnosis and care remains thin, and most of it comes from a small number of high income countries.
What is missing is not clinical data. It is a record of what happens before diagnosis: how many times symptoms were raised, what was said in response, how long it took, and what was never explained.
Findings are published openly and shared with clinicians, researchers, and health organizations. The survey runs again each year, so change can be measured rather than assumed.
