WORLD ANEMIA AWARENESS DAY

13 FEBRUARY 2024 –World Anemia Awareness Day 2024 is shining a spotlight on the significant challenges teenage girls face with their menstrual health. The campaign highlights how easily they can be affected by anemia and iron deficiency, conditions that often go unnoticed but can have profound impacts on their well-being. For many young girls, heavy menstrual bleeding can lead to low iron levels, resulting in fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and poor academic performance. This not only affects their grades but can also have long-term implications for their future opportunities. By raising awareness and providing essential resources, the campaign aims to empower girls and ensure they have the support needed to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
